Summer Staple: The Plain Black Bodysuit

One of my go-to looks at the moment is a super simple outfit beefed up with some banging statement accessories. When it comes to timeless and simple outfits I don’t think you can really go wrong with a plain bodysuit and some amazing fitting jeans.

It was my friend Roxy from The Eco Edit that led me to the brand Woron when I asked if she could recommend somewhere to buy a really good quality, ethically made bodysuit to replace the old, faded and stretched one I already owned.

Woron is a Danish brand founded by sisters Anya and Arina Woron. Their pieces are designed to be the antithesis of that “bra off” feeling you get at the end of the day from underwear that’s been digging in. Woron is designed to be as comfortable as a second skin. Perfectly fitting, clean feminine lines but without sacrificing sustainability.

This is the “Second Skin Bodysuit” that is made from 90% Modal (beech wood pulp fibre) and 10% elastane. It’s soft and luxurious to the touch and has enough stretch to make you feel like it’s doing you a few favours. It has poppers in the gusset that are positioned for comfort towards the front, which also make doing it up a lot easier.

It’s not cheap at ¬£60 but so far in this hot weather if I’ve not been wearing a cami top then I’ve been wearing this bodysuit as it’s such an easy, flattering base for an outfit as well as being breathable. As well as being sustainably made, it’s ticking all my #buylesswearmore boxes.

These earrings featured in my last blog post¬†and are by Bristol designer Jess of Kokomo Design. I’ve got a huge thing for anything orange and/or turquoise this summer so I just love the sassy pop of orange against this super simple outfit. And the Jog On message is just totally my vibe at the moment.

You don’t like my fuzzy armpits, my muffin top or my nipples showing through…?

Well you know what you can do.
